WORRIED: Paloma Faith is terrified no one cares she’s back with a new album

The former BRIT winner has released three top 10 records – which have all gone double platinum in the UK.

But the Crybaby singer told me she’s still worried her brilliant new album The Architect will flop.

Paloma said: “It’s really scary releasing a new album after three years away.

“The music industry is such a fickle place at the moment.

“I’m just terrified because with the exception of Adele, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran it feels like you never know if anyone is going to listen to your new music or even care that you have a new album out.

“It gets harder with every album. I released my first album in 2009 and all the artists who were starting out then are no longer around.

“It’s incredibly hard to have longevity. Especially if you are a female artist.”

Paloma won Best Female at the 2015 BRITS and joined The Voice coaching panel the following year.

She then disappeared from public view to give birth to her first baby.

NEW ALBUM: Paloma Faith with James Ingham

Another former Voice coach Jessie J recently said she needed to go AWOL from the music scene to save her sanity.

But down-to-earth Paloma told me: “I’m so fortunate and unfortunate that no one around me gives a sh*t.

“My mum doesn’t give a sh*t about celebrity culture, while my boyfriend is too cool for school and doesn’t know who anyone is.

“Jessie should have a kid if she wants to touch base with reality.

“There’s nothing like cleaning up someone’s sh*t every day to bring you back to reality.”

Talking about her fourth album, she added: “No one can save the world by themselves. The fairytales were wrong. There are no superheroes.

“Everyone has to do their bit and I’m trying to do mine by spreading a message of love, empathy and understanding.”

The Architect is available to pre-order now.

INJURY: Ed Sheeran would love to perform at the X Factor finals

Ed Sheeran says he’d love to perform at this year’s X Factor finals if his damaged arms have healed.

The singing superstar has had to cancel tour dates after fracturing both his right wrist and left elbow after a horror bike crash.

Ed, who scooped Best Act In The World Today gong at Wednesday’s Q Magazine Awards, said: “I hope I’ll be back on X Factor.

“Nothing is confirmed but I would love to. I’m hoping I can perform again in four weeks.”

Ed, who has the biggest-selling album in the UK this year, added: “My favourite album this year is Jessie Ware’s Glasshouse.”

High praise indeed from the ginger genius!

TOWIE is without a Wright family member for the very first time now mum Carol has handed in her notice.

But Mark and Jess Wright’s cousin Elliot has revealed he’ll be back.

Elliot, who is currently on our screens with his wedding spin-off, said: “I loved going back this series and I would always be up for the odd cameo if it was authentic and right.”

Elliott and Sadie The Wedding continues tonight at 9pm on ITVBe.

Tough Love singer Jessie Ware is launching her very own podcast from her mum Helena’s kitchen.

And man-of-the-moment Sam Smith is one of her first guests!

The former Mercury and BRIT nominee exclusively revealed: “I’ve started a podcast with my mother. It’s called Table Manners and it’s been so fun to do while I’ve been working on my record.

“We had Sam Smith round last week and he had my mum’s turkey meatballs which went down a treat.”

Jessie’s worked with pal Ed Sheeran on her new album Glasshouse – which I’m loving!

She added: “Ed is exactly what you expect him to be like, the nicest guy in music and so ambitious. He’s helped me become a better writer. I’m in awe of how he can write songs so brilliantly and so easily.”

Glasshouse is out now, while Table Manners will launch next month.

CONFIDENT: Matt Terry says he is confident of beating the show’s mounting axed list

Last year’s X Factor winner Matt Terry says he’s confident of beating the show’s mounting axed list because he’s not signed to Simon Cowell’s label.

Former runner-up Fleur East is the latest XF star to be dropped by Syco, following Honey G and Reggie N Bollie, who got dumped earlier this year.

And 2015 winner Louisa Johnson is still waiting to release her debut album with Syco.

The brilliant Ella Henderson’s much-delayed second record is also on hold.

Plus, last year’s third-placed boyband 5 After Midnight have just released new EP The Sauce – instead of an album.

Sources at the record label tell me bosses are currently focusing on the big success stories like Little Mix, James Arthur and Louis Tomlinson.

And Matt said he was happy to be a priority over at RCA Records.

He told me: “I don’t know what it’s like at other labels but RCA have given me pretty much full control. I’ve basically made the album I wanted to make.

“I’ve written a lot of the songs, have a brilliant team around me and couldn’t be happier with how everything has gone.”

Matt is expected to perform his new single on next week’s X Factor live shows and the singer added: “I can’t wait to go back.”

Sucker For You is out now.

Talking of former XF winners, Ben Haenow has finally admitted Simon Cowell and X Factor bosses wanted Fleur East to win the show.

Popular Ben beat Fleur in the 2014 final despite claims that King Cowell and Co were backing his fellow finalist.

Ben told me: “I do think they backed Fleur more. They definitely focused more on Fleur’s launch campaign.

“It did feel a little like I was the public’s winner and Fleur was clearly the label’s winner.

“Maybe that did hold me back a bit but at the end of the day her single was better than mine and I can’t blame anyone but me for that.”

Tickets for Ben’s Rising Tour this December are out now.

BIG THREE: Galantis are hoping to complete the British big three by working with Adele

They've remixed huge hits for Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran, now Swedish dance duo Galantis are hoping to complete the British big three by working with Adele.

As well as releasing their own dance music, the talented artists – made up of Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklow – are one of the most sought-after acts for remixing the chart’s biggest hits.

They’ve just released their version of Sam’s Too Good At Goodbyes and the duo told me: “We get lots of requests every day to do remixes and we say no to most but we are huge fans of Sam Smith’s voice.

“We also remixed for Ed so it would be great to work with Adele. Her voice is incredible.”

Galantis recently released their second album The Aviary.

Tickets for their UK headline tour are on sale now.

Axed EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa still doesn’t know if her character Lauren Branning will be killed off.

Soap fans were shocked to hear Jacqueline and screen sister Abi, played by Lorna Fitzgerald, were being written out of the show.

And while Lorna has been told her fate, Jacqueline’s hubby Dan Osbourne told me his missus was still waiting to find out.

Former TOWIE star Dan said: “I have no idea if she’s being killed off or not. She doesn’t even know. She really wants to find out but hasn’t been told yet.”

Either way Dan said Jacqueline would soon be back on the box.

Chatting at last Friday’s Boxing With The Stars, he added: “Work is important to her so she will soon have things lined up once she’s out of contract.”

Tickets for their UK headline tour are on sale now.

Former One Direction superstar Niall Horan is set to miss out on this week’s album top spot.

The ex-boyband singer’s Flicker is currently being outsold two copies to one by a re-release of George Michael’s iconic album Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1.

If the chart positions stay the same it would make Niall the first 1D member not to get to No.1 with their debut solo record.

So far both Zayn Malik and Harry Styles have scored a chart-topping record.

George’s sales have been boosted by last week’s Channel 4 documentary, George Michael: Freedom.

But Niall’s team were still hoping to come out on top.

My source added: “When you have been in a huge band like 1D anything less than a number one is seen as disappointing.

“Everyone is hoping Niall can close the gap by Friday but it’s unlikely to happen.”

It was less girl power and more boy power when Geri Horner first met tragic best mate George Michael.

Ginger Spice told how she ditched her Spice Girl mates to get up close and personal to the Wham! star in the hope they would marry.

Geri, who recently released Childline charity single Angels In Chains in George’s memory, said: “I wanted to marry George at first, I really, really did but I just wasn’t his cup of tea.

“I’ve always been a huge fan. I had a poster of him on my wall.

“I remember the first time I met him I was at an event with the other Spice Girls and I wanted to ditch them so I could go meet him by myself.

“I snuck off, cornered him on my own and we ended up chatting and that was that, we became close friends.”

HIT: Emili Sande’s debut album Our Version of Events was a huge hit

Emeli Sande sings about the Highs & Lows on second album Long Live The Angels and she’s certainly had a lot of both since bursting on to the scene in 2012.

Debut album Our Version of Events was a huge hit.

The singer-songwriter has also bagged four BRITS, three Mobos and two Ivor Novellos.

On the flip side her marriage to long-term love Adam Gouraguine broke down following her rise to fame.

And Emeli went AWOL as her much-anticipated second album was continuously postponed.

Wednesday’s 02 Arena gig was also inconsistent.

Her songwriting skills and angelic voice are as good as anyone’s in the world, yet at times she got lost on the bigger stage.

Brilliant new single Starlight proves she’s still heading in the right direction though!
