KINGSTON, N.Y. >> Josh Cerra, assistant professor in landscape architecture at Cornell University, will present “Linking Community and Ecology: The Climate-Adaptive Design Studio in Kingston” at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County’s annual meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Extension, 232 Plaza Road (Hannaford Plaza).

This meeting is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The Climate-Adaptive Design Studio is a project developed through a partnership between the state Department of Environmental Conservation and Cornell’s landscape architecture department. Cerra will discuss his current work in Kingston including climate adaptation strategies, design processes and concepts, community engagement opportunities and the Climate Smart Communities certification program.

The meeting will also include the election of new board members, a vote on the Association’s updated constitution and highlight 2017’s programs.
