  1. A historic Pawtucket Spiritualist church has been renovated into a residential home. The Gothic Revivalist-inspired brick building located at 9 Montgomery Street in downtown Pawtucket is currently selling for $985,000 and has been featured in Architectural Digest. The stunning home is on the National Register of Historic Places. (Opera News)
  2. Trequan Baker, the man who was arrested Thursday for the recent FabCity Cigar Lounge shooting, entered no plea for numerous felonies after being apprehended by local police. Thanks to a surveillance video from a city-wide license plate reader system in Cranston, officers were able to match Baker's license plates with his identity. Pawtucket's own license plate reader system was not running at the time of the shooting. (WJAR)
  3. The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is ready for today's major winter storm, said Governor Dan McKee and the RIDOT. According to the Department's director Peter Alviti, the state has roughly 150 snowplows and 350 private vendors ready to hit the roads, although snow may accumulate faster than the plows' ability to clear them. The National Grid has also brought in extra personnel in anticipation of the storm, said Governor McKee. State-wide COVID testing sites will be closed today due to the weather. (WJAR)
