Lily is set to star in West End show The Pillowman later this year and believes spending time away from social media will do her the world of good.

She posted an image of a grey moon on her feed, writing: "I am going dark for a bit. I have been finding it harder and harder to focus lately, because phone.

"I have some really great things coming up work wise and I really want to honour these commitments and all the people involved properly.

"That means being off of this. My team may post bits and bobs but it’s goodnight from me. X."

Earlier this month, Lily and Strangers Things actor husband David Harbour packed on the PDA as they watched an NBA match at Madison Square Garden.

The couple, who got married in 2020 in Las Vegas, waved for the camera after they were caught on celebrity row at the iconic arena.

David planted a kiss on Lily's cheek as the New York Knicks defeated the Miami Heat in a close-fought 106-104 success.

Lily, 37, showed off her freshly-dyed blonde hair as she wore a high-necked floral top with a navy knitted cardigan. She added a pair of navy wide leg trousers and wore a pair of white trainers to top of the casual but chic look.

Meanwhile actor David, 47, wore a dark knitted jumper and a pair of blue corduroy jeans.

Lily and David reside in nearby Brooklyn and they gave fans an extensive tour of their "clown house".

In a nod to Lily's British heritage, the couple's kitchen boasts a traditional English country vibe, while their living room is filled with colour and double-sided sofa covered in tufted emerald velvet.

Speaking with Architectural Digest while giving tour of her home, Lily explains how she and David were warned about risking the resale price of their property by added such a personal touch, but wanted to "live in a way that works for us".

"My kids call this the clown house," Lily confesses, "but they say it in the most loving way."

David said when discussing his bold Brooklyn base: "Lily is someone who lives with color in a deeper way than most. Her taste is bold, silly, fun, eccentric - it’s exciting."
