Margot Robbie reveals she studied old Radox shower gel commercials for her shower scenes in Barbie as she gives a tour of the incredible set of the film
She is known for her attention to detail when it comes to researching her film roles.
And Margot Robbie has revealed she studied old Radox commercials for her shower scenes in her upcoming movie, Barbie.
The Australian actress, 32, made the revelation as she took Architectural Digest for a tour around the Barbie movie set.
As the film aims to depict what an actual Barbie house children play with is like, there is no running water on the set nor in the movie.
However Barbie still showers, and Margot demonstrated in the video how her character does this.

'I would actually just look up old Radox commercials and try and replicate that,' she explained.
While the Radox advertisements do feature real water, they are known for their close-up shots of actors enjoying a hot shower.
Meanwhile, other interesting details of the set included fully see-through Barbie homes, a slide from the bedroom to the garden and a fake pool.

'It's not super practical, but nothing is for Barbie,' Margot explained.
'It's just fun and gorgeous and it's see through so we can see each other, all the Barbies' in their own Barbie dreamhouses wake up and wave at each other.'
Margot said it was 'surreal' to see the set for the first time.
'I'd spent so long looking at the miniatures, and the models, and the drawings, and the design and then when you see it first time in real life and it's all there... it was really exciting,' she added.
