Congratulations are in order for Mithila Palkar. The Little Things actor has now a new abode for herself in Mumbai. Palkar shared a glimpse from her 700-square-foot space which has been brought together by principal designer Rutuja Tulsulkar at Studio Bloom (@studiobloom.in).

“When I decided to get my own place, I always wanted it to have a lot of natural light. I wanted windows, white walls, a rust sofa, plywood, and colours and elements that would open the space up. It wouldn’t cramp it too much so that it feels one hell of a release,” said Palkar in an interview with Architectural Digest India.

She added, “I am glad I could get all the elements that I wanted in my dream home thanks to my best friend who happens to be my designer Rutuja. She managed to tie all the elements together in an absolutely amazing sense of design and build this dream home for me.”

Interestingly, Palkar and Tulsulkar have been “best friends for more than a decade”. “Since Rutuja started studying design, I knew that my first house will be designed by her,” revealed Palkar in the same interaction.

“It was such a huge gamble – we were working together as professionals and it can go south. But if anything, it has only brought us closer together,” added Palkar.

Tulsulkar also noted in the same interview that considering Palkar “is a warm, kind person”, she wanted to “capture her personality, no filter”.

The video that shows her drawing room, bedroom, and kitchen all with minimally white aesthetics, received praise from netizens online.
