The design of the FLoating Glass Museum, where pink-colored glasses are integrated with an amorphous form, has been unveiled by Italian architecture studio Luca Lurci Architects.

Designed as a response to climate change, the museum is described as a "ground breaking project" that combines art, nature and sustainability principles. 

Luca Lurci Architects has envisioned a museum that blurs the boundaries between art and nature, while the water becomes a canvas for contemporary expression.

The 3,800-square-metre project has been conceived in collaboration with Giulia Tassi Design and an international team of architects and designers with the support of artificial intelligence.

The design of the museum takes cues from the Venetian rich cultural heritage and the intricate craft of glassmaking. 

As the studio explained, "the Floating Glass Museum blends tradition and innovation, with cutting-edge design and a dedication to sustainability: through meticulous research of materials and attention to the surroundings, the museum will be a sanctuary where the history of glass meets the contemporary experimentation."

The project emerges as "a global initiative, a symbol of environmental awareness, a unique space where art, nature and tradition converge". 

It is described as "the balanced fusion of contemporary art and sustainable design that will invite contemplation, reflection and discovery." 

Depending on the success of the project, the studio aims to present the project in several cities affected by climate change like Dubai, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Busan.

"Climate change is now affecting every country on every continent. It is disrupting national economies, communities, and countries dearly today and even more tomorrow," said the studio.

"Weather patterns are changing, sea levels are rising, weather events are becoming more extreme and greenhouse gas emissions are now at their highest levels in history."

"By 2100, scientists project that the sea level will rise at least another foot (0.3 meters), but possibly as high as 8 feet (2.4 meters), if we continue carbon emissions at our current rate (NASA – The Effects of Climate Change)," the studio explained.

Luca Curci Architects and Canadian architectural designer Tim Fu proposed a floating city composed of wavy and organically-designed interconnected platforms that can accomodate more than 50,000 people. 

In addition, the firm revealed design for a "conscious" city-forest connecting more than 200,000 people, challenging of population density by successfully combining vertical expansion with economic innovation.
