If stylish accommodations are what you’re after, one of the best on the planet is in Portland, Maine, according to Architectural Digest.

The Longfellow Hotel, which opened this past spring, has been named among 20 stunning new hotels for global inspiration as part of the magazine’s 2024 Hotel Great Design Awards. The awards celebrate the best designed new hotels in the world.

Here is what Architectural Digest wrote about the Longfellow Hotel:

The celebrated design studio Post Company has brought its Midas touch to Maine, teaming up with the locally based Uncommon Hotels on lodgings that satisfy the city’s long need for boutique options. Kick back in the elegantly paneled lobby and bar or sweat it out in the Scandinavian-style infrared sauna.

“Inspired by Portland’s timeless, rugged charm and the natural splendor of Maine, Longfellow Hotel is thoughtfully designed to enhance wellness and elicit joy,” according to its website.

Earlier this year, Town & Country named the Longfellow Hotel among the best new hotels on the planet as part of its T&C Hotel Awards 2024.
