Romania - Factors to watch on Sept. 25

Sept 25 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press reports and events to watch which may affect Romanian financial markets on Monday.

DEBT TENDER

Debt managers plan to sell 500 million lei ($130.04 million) worth of March 2022 treasury bonds at tender.

BUDGET DATA

The finance ministry is expected to release eight-month consolidated budget balance data.

Prime Minister Mihai Tudose said earlier this month, preliminary data had shown a deficit of 0.8 percent of gross domestic product at the end of August.

DEPUTY PM

Anti-corruption prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation against Deputy Prime Minister Sevil Shhaideh for suspected abuse of office in a land transfer case, they said on Friday.

The ruling Social Democrat party will hold a meeting of party seniors on Monday to discuss the situation.

HIDROELECTRICA

Romania plans to float 10 percent of hydro power producer Hidroelectrica, down from a previously planned 15 percent, the energy ministry said.

ROMANIAN WHEAT

Egyptian prosecutors on Sunday said they had approved a decision to sieve a Romanian wheat shipment which had been rejected by the agriculture quarantine authority for containing poppy seeds.

CEE MARKETS

Hungarian government bonds extended their rally on Friday due to expectations the central bank will continue to support the market despite a gradual worldwide monetary tightening.
