Lebedevs wins first European speedway title for Latvia

Print versionLatvia’s leading speedway rider Andzejs Lebdevs won the first ever European title for Latvia in in the Polish city of Lublin on Saturday, informs LETA.

No Latvian racer before him had ever managed to win a Speedway European
Championship.
The competition in Lublin was the fourth and final round of the Speedway
European Championship 2017. Lebedevs was the overall leader after the first
three rounds.
Lebedevs finished this season with 52 points, ahead of Russia’s Artem Laguta who earned 45 points and Vaclav Milik of the Czech Republic with
44 points.
