WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue and Indiana State are the latest men's basketball programs to come together for an exhibition game to benefit hurricane relief.

The Boilermakers will play host to Indiana State in a 3 p.m. game at Mackey Arena on Oct. 28. The game will precede Purdue's 7:30 football game against Nebraska. Purdue wrestling is also holding its annual Practice on the Patio at 5:30.

The Terre Haute Tribune-Star first reported the details of the game.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and will be general admission outside of club and courtside seats. Tickets go on sale Friday at 5 p.m. at PurdueSports.com and will be available on game day at the Purdue Athletic Ticket Office.

Net proceeds will benefit the Greater Houston Community Foundation and the UNIDOS Disaster Relief and Recovery Program to support Puerto Rico.

Purdue players Carsen Edwards and Eden Ewing are both from Houston, which was affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The NCAA announced earlier this week that teams wishing to add another benefit game to their exhibition schedule could apply for a waiver to do so. Purdue had been in the process of exploring that process and lining up an opponent throughout the week.

Several other such exhibitions have already been scheduled, including one between two teams coached by former Purdue assistants: Kansas State (Bruce Weber) and Missouri State (Paul Lusk).

Kansas-Missouri, Nebraska-Mississippi State and VCU-Liberty are among the other benefit games schedule. Marquette, Notre Dame and UConn are also participating.

Purdue plays a conventional exhibition game on Nov. 1 against Carroll College of Montana at Mackey Arena. It will also again play a closed scrimmage against West Virginia.

Basketball parking passes for the event will not be honored. Fans can park in Purdue's M lot ($20), campus parking garages ($10) or the neighborhood around Mackey Arena. ADA parking is available in the O lot for $20.
