Nigeria 2002 World Cup Star Ogbeche Is Most Prolific Striker In Netherlands This Season Nigeria 2002 World Cup star Bartholomew Ogbeche is the most prolific striker in the whole of the Dutch Eredivisie in the current season.

Voetbal International in partnership with sports data company OPTA has revealed that the out-of-favour Nigeria international boasts the most prolific minutes-per-goal ratio after fourteen rounds in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Ogbeche has scored on average once every 49 minutes and no player with at least two goals has performed better than the experienced Willem II striker.

Having fully recovered from a cruciate ligament injury that had kept him on the sidelines for nine months, the 33-year-old has found the next six times in his last three matches in the Dutch top-flight.

The ex-PSG wonderkid netted his first goal of the season against Sparta Rotterdam, bagged a hat-trick against VVV Venlo and notched a brace in last weekend's tie vs Heracles Almelo.

He was named to the Team of the Week for the fourteenth round of matches.
