A little piste of hotel heaven: The luxury zig-zag Swiss lodge that has a SKI SLOPE on its roof
- Guests at the Hotel des Horlogers in Le Brassus will be able to ski from the roof straight to the slopes
- This slope also connects the hotel's amenities – two restaurants, a bar, a spa and a conference center
- The hotel was designed by Danish architects Bjarke Ingels Group for luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet
For skiers whose top hotel priority is close proximity to the slopes, this is the property for them – because it has a ski slope on its roof.
Guests at the Hotel des Horlogers, currently under construction in the Swiss village of Le Brassus, will be able to descend on their skis down a gently sloping path that runs down the roofs of each of its five storeys.
This exterior path leads directly to the local ski trails.

What’s more, this slope connects the hotel's amenities – two restaurants, a bar, a spa and a conference center – which are all tucked under the inclined floors.
On the interior, a continuous sloping corridor connects the rooms.
The boutique hotel was designed by Danish architects Bjarke Ingels Group for luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet and complements its other project in the village – an expansion of the timepiece manufacturer’s workshop into the spiralling Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet.

Bjarke Ingels Group said: ‘From the main access road, the hotel’s tilting slabs frame views of the surrounding Vallée de Joux, establishing a connection between the village and the pastoral landscape.
‘Audemar Piguet's zig-zag hotel and spiraling Musee Atelier complete the Audemars Campus to create a new Le Brassus experience in Switzerland.'
Le Brassus is a tiny ski resort with only two ski lifts that give skiers access to just 10km (six miles) of pistes.
But the vertical descent experienced is 407 metres (1,334ft) and there are 35km (22 miles) of cross country skiing available.
In a similar fashion to Hotel des Horlogers, a ski run is being built on the top of the Amager Bakke waste energy plant on Copenhagen’s Amager island.
This slope has also been designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group.
