Austrian grocery chain launches digital storefrontPhoto by istock.com

An Austria-based grocery chain, MPREIS, is expanding its brand presence with a digital storefront providing customers an online showcase of products, stock availability, pricing and special offers.

The digital platform allows for localized and optimized content for each of the chain's 240 stores, according to a press release.

Store operators can manage their own product catalogue on the platform which was designed by emporix along with design strategy experts at Cobe. Web and mobile design experts at clubdrei.com created the intuitive user interface.

"We've built a loyal customer base that enjoys a positive shopping experience in our stores where they can find high quality local produce. We wanted to replicate that brand experience with a new online offering," Ulrich Theilmann, head of e-commerce at MPREIS, said in the release. "Working with emporix's headless commerce solution has made this process very straightforward. It allows us to seamlessly integrate a number of great design and architecture features into the site from a variety of digital partners, each of whom is an expert in its field."
