Learn the do’s and don’ts of interior design from metro Detroit native Corey Damen Jenkins with a new offering from MasterClass. Jenkins, who is the principal and CEO of the nationally recognized interior design firm Corey Damen Jenkins & Associates, is sharing his expertise in a 12-part course on the educational online platform.

Jenkins, who now resides in New York City, is known for his use of bold color and layered patterns. His interior work has been featured on HGTV, in national publications like Elle Décor, Vanity Fair, House Beautiful, and in his new coffee table book, Design Remix: A New Spin on Traditional Rooms. He even made an appearance in the pages of Hour Detroit magazine in 2019 when he gave us a peek into his creative Bloomfield Hills condo.

In his class, he teaches students how to find their own design style and execute it with any budget, walking them through how to create a mood board, plan their space, and overcome challenges within the design process.

“Recognized by Architectural Digest as one of the world’s most prominent interior designers, Corey’s magic is in making any space feel polished, inventive, and timeless while still making design accessible to everyone,” says David Rogier, founder and CEO of MasterClass, in a press release. “In his class, he shows members how to use color, patterns, lighting, and furniture to create a space that reflects their own vision and feel confident in their design decisions.”

Those interested in learning from Jenkins can sign up for a MasterClass membership for $15 a month to gain access to his class. “I believe that interior design should be accessible to everyone,” Jenkins says in a press release. “We all deserve to live the very best quality of life possible, and in my class, I will show you how to invest in your surroundings so you can make your home a true haven.”

The monthly cost also gives members full access to the more than 100 courses in the MasterClass library, including filmmaking with James Cameron, cooking with Gordon Ramsey, acting with Helen Mirren, and singing with Christina Aguilera. Students can stream MasterClass courses on their smartphone, personal computer, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku.
