FANCY a sneak peek inside the Helensburgh home being featured in the BBC's Scottish Home of the Year show on Monday?

The BBC have provided the Advertiser with a preview of the episode, which sees Shereen and William Costley and their Pekinese Shih Tzu dog DJ show the judges round their seven-bedroom Victorian home.

It was originally built for the Potters of Glasgow in the mid-1800s, but was then extended in 1901 by famous architect William Fraser.

It soon became home to Norah Neilson Gray, one of the 'Glasgow Girls' and friends with renowned couple Margaret Macdonald and Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

But now, the home is full of items the couple have collected on their travels over the years, each with a story of someone they know or somewhere they’ve been.

Victorian Villa is one of three properties, along with homes in Saltcoats and Giffnock, which will compete in Monday night’s episode of the BBC One Scotland show, searching for a finalist from the west of Scotland.

Judges Anna Campbell Jones, Banjo Beale and Helensburgh's own Danny Campbell must decide whether Victorian Villa, Seaside Conversion or Sandstone Bungalow should represent the west in the Scotland's Home of the Year grand final held at House for an Art Lover in Glasgow.

The episode will air at 6.25pm on BBC Scotland rather than the usual time, due to it being a bank holiday Monday.
