• Wednesday, July 23: Rod Stewart at Doolan’s in Spring Lake N.J. Tommy Edwards, the ultimate “Sir Rod” performer will thrill you with the vocal styling and moves of the “Knighted One” himself. • Sunday, Aug. 24: Candlelight Theatre’s “Escape to Margaritaville” featuring your favorite Jimmy Buffet classics with book by Greg Garcia and Mike O’Malley, Margaritaville tells the story of Tully, a smooth-talking singer/bartender whose laidback, no-strings-attached lifestyle is turned upside down when he falls for Rachel, an environmental scientist visiting the island. • Monday, Sept. 8: Flight 93 National Memorial. Established by President George W. Bush in September 2002, the Flight 93 National Memorial is a serene place of remembrance and honor. At Flight 93 National Memorial, you can walk beside the 40 passengers and crew of Flight 93’s final resting place and honor their courage. Brief stop on way to memorial. Stop for lunch on your own in Bedford on the way home. Leave at 6:30 a.m. and return at 7:30 p.m. $70 per person
• Thursday, Sept. 18: The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., sits on the beautiful Hudson River in the heart of food and wine country. Our day begins with a three-course gourmet lunch prepared by students at CIA’s Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici, which focuses on the cultural heritage of regional Italian cuisine served in a Tuscan Villa setting. Visit the book and kitchen utensil store and enjoy the “CIA Experience” including the institute’s history, a tour of Roth Hall, and Q&A with current CIA students. • Trip to Tropicana, Atlantic City, on Monday, June 30 to see the Smokey Robinson show. • A trip to the American Music Theater in Lancaster for the Christmas Show “Deck the Halls,” with all your favorite Christmas Classics on Dec 17. The bus departs Springfield country club, 400 W. • Thursday July 10: The Pines Dinner Theatre in Allentown for “Footloose.” $135 includes transportation, lunch and show.
• Sept. 23: Flight 93 Memorial, Shanksville, and tour of home built by Architect Frank Lloyd Wright called “Fallingwater.” Cost is $175.
• Oct. 23: Lehigh Gorge Railroad, with free time to browse in Jim Thorpe, Pa. Lunch included lunch, and train ride for scenic views of the gorge. Cost is $170.
• Nov. 13: Windcreek Casino, Bethlehem. $25 in slot play. Cost $50.
• Dec. 11: Christmas Spectacular Radio City Music Hall featuring The Rockettes and dinner at Georgine’s. Cost is $245, with a $100 deposit due immediately.

Briarcliffe Seniors Club trips:
The bus will depart at 10 a.m. for all of the trips from the Springfield Country Club parking lot in Springfield and return there in the early evening.
• Going to the Tropicana Casino on Tuesday, Oct. 21. Cost is $35 for each, with $10 back in slots play.
• Three more trips are planned to Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, each costing $85, with $25 back in slot play and a show. The bus will leave at 10 a.m. each trip. On Thursday, July 31, the show will be “Cher: The Ultimate Tribute. On Thursday, Aug. 28, the show will be “The Doo Wop Project,” and on Thursday, Sept. 25, the show is “An Afternoon of The Bee Gees.”

• Boothbay, Maine, Plymouth, Massachusetts, and Salmon, Massachusetts, five nights, six days, Sept. 28 to Oct. 3.

The Farmer’s Market Voucher program: sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has begun. The program is designed to encourage healthy eating and improved nutrition among older adults. The program provides $25 in vouchers to purchase Pennsylvania-grown fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs at approved local farmer’s markets. Eligible recipients must be 60 years of age or older by Dec. 31, be residents of Delaware County, and meet income guidelines. For further information, contact a senior center site:
