Kentucky State Police Cruiser Makes the Cut for New 2026 Calendar
It doesn't take much for me to start noticing things I hadn't noticed before. When the Kentucky State Police cruiser won its first American Association of State Troopers "Best Looking Cruiser" award in 2018, I started noticing other state police cruisers when traveling.
Best Looking Cruiser
In 2018, while I was in North Carolina, I remember thinking how much better Kentucky's looked than those in the Tar Heel State. I've noticed them ever since. That was the Commonwealth's first of four consecutive wins, 2018 through 2022. There was no competition in 2020 due to COVID. The KSP cruiser finished in the top five in 2023 and 2024.
Indeed, Kentucky has been eclipsed the last two years and now this year by the Sunshine State with their Florida Highway Patrol Dodge Challenger. In 2025, though, Florida State Police switched tracks and submitted this beauty.

Best Looking Cruiser Calendar
That stunner, along with 12 other sweet-looking rides will grace the pages of the American Association of State Troopers 2026 cruiser calendar. The vehicles that finished in the top 13 will all have a spot. The 2025 Kentucky State Police submission finished in sixth place, so it will be there, too.
By the way, in 2025, Kentucky submitted an image featuring three of its vehicles, two of which are cruisers. And unless they've altered the definition of "cruiser," the other one isn't.
That will be the image you'll see on Kentucky's page in the new calendar which will publish in October, but you can pre-order now.
Michigan, Ohio, Maryland, Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Virginia, Texas, New Hampshire, Alaska, and North Carolina will fill out the rest of the calendar.
