“A Vancouver – Seattle floatplane service was part of the original vision behind the creation of the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre,” said Graham Clarke, founder and partner of the VHFC.  “With that in mind, we built a world-class facility which would efficiently serve domestic passengers and properly welcome international visitors.”

Harbour Air and Kenmore Air have commenced weekday flights from the VHFC in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour to and from the Kenmore Air facility in Seattle at South Lake Union.

“We have been working on this service behind the scenes for a number of years,” said Paul McElligott, President, Ledcor Resources and Transportation, partner of the VHFC, “And, commend Harbour Air, Kenmore Air, Canada Border Services, US Customs and Border Protection and the Canadian, BC and Washington governments on their hard work and diligence.”

The flying time between Vancouver’s Coal Harbour and Seattle’s Lake Union will be about 60 minutes.

“We would also like to recognize the leading role played by Microsoft, especially President Brad Smith, and for their valuable contribution to this initiative,” said Andrew Voysey, Chief Operating Officer, Ledcor Properties.  “The initiative has benefited from the business support of the high-tech communities in both Vancouver and Seattle and has been crucial to helping launch this new service.”

Tickets for the cross-border flights can be purchased through the Harbour Air and Kenmore Air websites:
